Jadon lived a life full of joy, energy, and positivity. From the young age of five, Jadon exhibited an extraordinary sense of strength on the football field, a sport which he played for his entire life. He was passionate about football and lived to join his brothers on that field.
One of many siblings, Jadon always kept everyone laughing and smiling. His smile was contagious, his heart was golden, his sense of humor was infectious, and his determination to always get his way was unmatched. Music was his second passion. He often spent time listening to, writing, and recording songs. When he wasn’t on the football field, you could bet that he was somewhere rocking out to a good song and trying to encourage anyone around him to do the same. The beach was his happy place, there he would go fishing and crabbing with his dad, or hang out with friends on the boardwalk. His connection with nature was special, if he could have lived outdoors, he would have happily done that. He would stop at nothing to make his “Momma” proud, and she will forever be so very proud of him.
On Christmas eve of 2020, Jadon was found unresponsive in his bed, after being rushed by ambulance to the hospital, it was determined that his brain was bleeding and that he needed emergency surgery, which he had on Christmas day. He spent 36 days and nights in the hospital and had multiple complications and surgical procedures. His doctors at CHOP diagnosed him with a brain tumor in late February and scheduled a tumor biopsy/resection surgery for 3/3/21. The surgery took eight hours, and the surgeon reported that he was able to remove most of the tumor. After that, the tumor was sent to the lab to be studied. About a week later, the report came back that diagnosed the tumor as “glioblastoma”, the most aggressive type. Jadon and his family kept their belief in God throughout the journey despite how hard things got. As time went on, Jadon’s disease progressed, and unfortunately he passed away on 2/1/22.
With each day, came new challenges, which Jadon faced with strength, courage, and determination. No matter how difficult things became, he stood fast in the fight, and his faith never wavered. He was the true epitome of a shining light in the dark.
Jadon lived his life in a way that we should all take notes from. Some could call him a rebel, but the truth is that he stood for what he believed in, consistently, and passionately. He taught others to be kind, to be strong, to have faith in God, to walk in a life of integrity, and to believe in themselves. A motto that will carry on with his legacy forever.
Let us all be #Jadonstrong forever, because that is how he lived his life and that is exactly what he would expect us to do.
